Life With Retro

Living life one “Retro” moment at a time.

Am I Asking For Too Much Now?

My life is really beginning to suck ass right now; well actually this year has literally been one of my worst. Don’t know what to do in order to fix it cause every time I try, something messed up happens. Like today. I logged into my email (which hasn’t been working for a while now and decided to magically work today) and lo and behold there is an email, one that I had been waiting for for over a month, from Uber about their ambassador program… FML I almost fell off my chair from excitement cause I had made it to the semi-finals of the whole program thing. I read the email only to find that I had missed the submission date for the next activity by TWO DAYS because my dumb email didn’t work. Continue reading “Am I Asking For Too Much Now?”

Winter Break Chronicles [PART 1: My near Kidnapping (NOT JOKING-kinda)]

This past winter break has to be the most eventful holiday I have literally ever had! For starters I had only been back home for about 12 hours when I almost got KIDNAPPED (not really but it felt like it) and forced into a life of human slavery but these two men I had just met that evening. Granted that’s not how it happened but I shall reiterate that THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT IT FELT LIKE!

A Bordeaux wine is any wine produced in the Bordeaux region of France, centred on the city of Bordeaux and covering the whole area of the Gironde department, with a total vineyard area of over 120,000 hectares, making it the largest wine growing area in France.

The region spans the left bank of the Gironde from the mouth of the river to the city of Bordeaux and includes the four famous communes of St-Estephe, Pauillac, St. Julien and Margaux. It is about 60 km north to south, and about 10 km wide, with around 10,600 hectares under vines and a production of about 50 million litres per year. All the wine made here is red. ( Read more )

My Existential Crisis- Basic Second Year Conundrum

Hey Everyone!

Today, seeing as I’m alive again, I shall speak directly to you. Explanation for my sudden disappearance? It’s been a combination of my lack of interest in anything other than like university life and the fact that I have NO time though I spend majority of my day sleeping, eating and watching series.

One would think I’m in the depression loop, lord I wish it was! I’ve reached the stagnation phase. This is where I am NOT unhappy or depressed or devoid of any sort of emotion, no, it’s the IDGAF-let-me-watch-series-dammit phase.Think I’ve reached my own existential crisis stage. Sertraline: The Good And The Bad

Megan Has OCD

I have this really strange habit of getting really into TV shows and then feeling so sad when I can’t watch the next episode or if the show has ended. K and I finished the last episode of season 4 of Game of Thrones last night and I about cried because season 5 doesn’t start until April 12th. It’s literally the best show I’ve ever seen.

Hey Drum And Bass! I’m Your New Spirit Animal!

If liquid drum and bass could be an animal it would be me, in the moments where I was reflecting on my personality and what I’ve become and I by mistakenly fused with liquid drum and bass music. Who would’ve predicted that? Though, as you might not know (cause I’m extremely uncertain as to whether or not anyone knows me or is even reading this), I listen to a wide variety of music but this, drum and bass, has connected with my soul on a new exciting level. Like taking a deep breath and discovering new smells in the air. That’s how I feel about it. Continue reading “Hey Drum And Bass! I’m Your New Spirit Animal!”

A New And Rejuvenated Me!

Lately, I haven’t had the drive to blog. I kept thinking about it, procrastinating over it and starting endless drafts which are currently in the trash. I can’t understand why I lost my motivation. Is this how writers feel when they hit the dreaded block? Cause, as the weeks passed, my life seem to be a bit more boring than last year. Most of my motivation stemmed from the exciting life I lived last year. However I can’t seem to be that person I once was last year.
